There was a made an interesting comment made on TalkSport Radio regarding the luck of the game, Brook has given 4 chances, so far with varying degrees of difficulty, all dropped, Pope gave one chance & Phillips pulled off an unbelievable catch, having already dropped a much easier chance.

England are gradually working their way forwards in an effort to build a decisive lead. It's tricky out there but Ben Stokes is doing his best to coax the lower order through. Just got to keep chugging along. Lots of time left in the match.

England completed the formality of the win as Carse took 6-42 & 10-106. Mitchell made a battling 84. The target of 104 was cleared in style with in 12.4 overs. The highlight was an eye-catching 50 from Bethell. In the process of the case Root became the leading Test run scorer in the 4th innings, passing Tendulkar.

Ben Stokes has said he should be ok to play in the second test after pulling up when bowling.
Apparently just wear and tear so it looks to have been precautionary.
