OK, just seen a trailer for a TV programme called something like :

" Forbidden History : Top Secret Nazi UFOs" presented by Jamie Theakston Rolleyesbladewave

What has happened to documentary/history programming in this country ?

Presumably we don't need to know about real "unsexy/non-ratings friendly/unsensational" history anymore , because we can just google Wikipedia on our i-pads and believe everything it tells us without any power of discrimination or basic knowledge with which to critically judge what we're reading Rolleyes

It's not like we're repeating the mistakes of the past through ignorance or anything is it ? - pointless foreign wars, calamitous financial crashes caused by wild speculation and lax regulation, vociferous anti-immigration campaigners inciting ethnic and racial hatred....etc. etc Sad

Huh Why does the TV channel "Dave" - which might be expected to be aimed at a male demographic given its name and its fondness for a fair amount of bloke-ish trash programming ? - have adverts for Vagasil every single commercial break ??? Big Laugh
