Best practice regarding quoting is:

1. If your just responding to the previous post then you don't need to include the quote. You can include a ^ to show that you post is connected.
2. If your responding to a post that is not the one previous. Then include the quote but edit it just to include the relievent bits.
3. If you include a quote with a cap/pic. Then please remove the cap/pic with a [snip].
