Maybe Ashley didn't think that Chris had a suitable body to be in charge at Newcastle.
Did he ever take his shirt off on freezing nights? Can he be described as being chubby?

They are obviously looking for a more talented manager to take them back to the Championship

He'll do well at a club that gives him a bit of cash and some backing. Let's face it he got a 3rd rate team promoted and would probably have kept them safe this season too.

Mike Ashley is nothing more than a Chav with cash. He hasn't got a clue how to run a tap, never mind a football club.

well it can't be denied that this was coming, yes hughton has done well in gaining promotion but in mike ashley's eyes he was just a experiment that was done to test his effectiveness, sadly for some reason ashley thinks his not the right man, i would personally get martin o neil in order to offer stability, something he done with villa and then builded on that

i mean if you looked at the man's hair one half was black and the other half was going gray
he had the team colours in his hair and still lost his job

I think his been treated badly, his bring the club back up. His one of lowest paid managers in league and they haven't had a lot of money in to bring in top big name players, Newcastle always do this and its gonna come back to hit them in the face.

What Hughton has done its stupid for him to go this way, what are they 11th at the start of December in the season of their return to the top flight. They've had some good results in the first few months of the season and Ashley decides its time for him to go, they aren't going to get into Europe so what advancement can a change at the top do to them at this stage in the season, if Ashley had anything worthwhile upstairs etc he could of done the sacking in May if they had stayed up. Now possibly with this happening it could mean a slide down the table and Ashley isn't going to make major, game changing funds possible in the new year for anyone that comes in.

So who's going to go there? No one is going to leave their job in the Prem at the minute to go to NUFC are they? Surely not...

while ashley is still they will no get a decent manager having gone loads of managers in as many years.
