Pakistan picked 5 front-line bowlers in an attacking move to give themselves better option to win the match, which has backfired. Australia have now found a genuine allrounder in Green, giving balance to their side, & with Starc & Cummins batting at 8 & 9, they have depth to their batting. After coming up short in the last Test, Australia were worthy of a 1-0 series win. Cummins was named Man of the Match, as much for his captaincy, especially a tempting declaration, as for his 8 wickets. Khawaja with 91 7 104 no, had the consolation of Player of the Series with 496 runs in his country of birth. Lyon put to bed the criticism of having a poor record when bowling in his 2nd innings, with a 5 wicket haul. |
