^ I didn't work out why you need to eat chillies in a time trial.

Drama, innit.

Paddy's car conked out first too. Serve him right for singing.

Odd to see just Chris and Paddy in Iceland; not sure Freddie would have made it that different.

Good stuff again with three rather different films. Having watched the DeLorean doc a few months back, it was curious to watch a potted version again.

I noticed a few Halfwits on Twitter commenting on the fact that the Lotus Esprit Turbo featured in the DeLorean piece had a number plate starting with "UVF" .

The car was actually Colin Chapman's last company motor and is now part of the Lotus Heritage Collection. It has always carried that VRM so there was no Northern Ireland related nonsesne going on.

Nice end to the series, I felt. And back at Christmas too.

RE: Top Gear - Rammyrascal - 14-12-2021 15:52

Agree, a nice end to for me has been a good series

I third that. I do wish they were making more, but I get it given the current state of the world and the logistics involved in making the show.
Hopefully the Christmas one will be something fun and a bit crazy. I really like these three together, it works very well and is fun to watch.

I think (and I may have said it before, so tough) that this is the first line-up since the Big Three left where it's like "this is our show now, we're doing it like this". Admittedly the pandemic has forced some adjustments (does anybody miss celebs going round the track? or the track, for that matter?)

Yes, you can point to retrod ideas (this week being full of them). But they make it seem fresh, and certainly the repeats when they come up on Dave seem more rewatchable than the MLB years.
