Still time for it to swing back the other way though. Anybody's game. Great 170 shot out from Rock to pull back to 12-14. Luke Littler makes the final for the first time and wins 17-14. Excellent quality match. From 0-5 down Littler won 17 of the next 26 legs. Impressive fightback. Bit of cat and mouse. Littler edges clear at 8-7 at the third break with a couple of breaks to his opponents one. Nip and tuck in the next few legs as Wade hangs tough but Littler leads 11-9 after 20 legs. Leg 23 a potential crippler for Wade. Had numerous darts at a double to hold but ultimately broken and Littler now looking for the finish line at 13-10 with 2 breaks advantage. But wait a minute. Wade breaks back. Can he consolidate to get back to within one leg? No. It's 14-11 Nuke heading into the next break. Wade returns and breaks back again. See saw stuff. Consolidates the break with a 101 checkout and it's 14-13 Littler. The Nuke gets a crucial hold for 15-13 and breaks for 16-13. Finishing line in sight. Littler powers towards it. 17-13. One away. Luke Littler is the World Matchplay champion for the first time with an 18-13 victory over James Wade.
