Not too much of a shock about Waites. Hasn't been playing well recently. Thought Martin Adams threw surprisingly well. Could be a VERY good match against Tony O' Shea in the next round.

PDC have only had their own development system for couple of years, before that they
poached all best talent from BDO and their development system

The PDC now have a development circuit where they are themselves developing the players of the future. Ultimately it is a financial decision as to whether a player joins the PDC pr not and of course whether they are good enough.

^Yeah. As far as I'm aware, the ONLY young player that's come through the ranks in the PDC is Michael Smith- who beat Phil Taylor at the world championship this year. Otherwise, it's all ex-BDO players.

Madars Rasma of Latvia v John Michael of Greece just finished was a good match.
The Latvian won 3-2 in a match where the checkouts were better than the scoring.
Good to see such a wealth of international talent given its chance to shine
