david pleat is the most annoying!
most knowlegable wud have to be Martin Tyler, always does his research. Or Murray Walker in F1

I'd agree about Martin Tyler - him and Andy Gray are the best around. On the other hand I can't stand Jonathan Pearce. And John Virgo talks way too much on the snooker.
EDIT- I've just thought of John Madden the American Football summariser. He is the best analyst I've ever seen - always points out things you haven't seen yourself.

Andy Gray is probably my favourite commentator
I know he's not exactly a commentator (more of a pundit), but i can not STAND Garth Crooks on BBC
The guy is just way too serious! lol
