Changes to the Reputation System - terence - 05-07-2017 12:25
After some discussion we have decided to upgrade the reputation system. and this being the awesome and inclusive forum that it is, we have decided to post a thread where you can voice your thought or suggestions. We have a good idea of what we want to do but will read this thread to see if any further improvements can be made before we go ahead.
Please, constructive suggestions only, this is not a chance to settle old scores or arguments. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

The idea, is mainly to increase the amount of points that people can give.
For example, you'd still only give one rep per person, but instead of that rep being 1 point and a comment, it might be 2 points, or 3.
Existing points that have already been given out over the years would remain as they are, but you could choose to increase points you'd previously given out, as and when you see fit, similar to updating a rep comment.
It could also vary - You might give somebody 2 points, and somebody else 3.
Maybe someone makes a few good posts every now and then. You might give them a point. Someone else posts caps, or videos on a regular basis. Maybe give them 2, or even 3 points? Another person doesn't do caps, but generally does good posts on a regular basis, or you maybe get on well with them. Again you can give them more or less points.
Something like that. Number of points haven't been decided upon yet.

Great ideas guys.
Once implemented I'll be updating my reps for all the hard workers on the forum.
I hope that members report anyone who puts pressure on them to improve rep scores.

I like the idea of giving more than one rep point because it often feels a bit lopsided to give a rep point for a daft comment that made you smile as against the awesome work of the cappers.
So yes I support that approach
