Does anyone else find this hard to read on the info messages?

Red on black is always difficult to read in any circumstances. The reason is the difference in focal length of different colours. In the case of red and black the difference is so great that your eyes are unable to switch back and forth between the two focal lengths fast enough to maintain a stable image. With print this often results in your brain interpreting the constant changes in focal length as meaning that the two colours are at different distances from your eyes and produces an artificial 3-D kind of image.
