you wont receive any notification, you will just become a member of it - i've only just done it myself...try going into s66 fanzone section, it will either let you in or tell you that you don't have permission

to check, go to your User CP - click ^^^ up there somewhere, then look on right hand side of page for the miscellaneous section, 1st thing on that is group memberships, click that...ignore the top part of the page that loads, the bottom is where you want to look, if you're in, the fanzone group will be in there


there you go mate, thats as much help as i can be...and it is completely against my character, now i have to go and make someones life a misery to even the scores
