Slow boards help!!!... check here

As you all will have noticed, the forum is slow today

This is the current traceroute I have to the forum (the tracert command is explained earlier in this thread) and it shows exactly where the problem is.

Requests shouldn't be timing out as there are here. I've asked the webhost if anything can be done or if there's any way around this problem, but not found a positive response so far. If a solution can't be found we'll simply have to move to a new home.

Yep, thought this was over as the forum was fine yesterday

Not online yesterday, but working fine as of now.

Seems to be running slow again.

I haven't noticed any issue myself since Thursday afternoon, although I wasn't on the forum at 8:28 this morning (time of the above post). If anyone is still experiencing problems, perhaps run the tracert command and see what information that gives.

Gone to tortoise mode again this evening.

I've been having the same problem. It seems very sporadic. Sometimes it works fine at particular times of the day and other times, I get a 'check your connection' message as the page times out from taking a long time to load. It seems very slow for me right now .

It's been like this for about a week for me now. I've tried Google Chrome and Firefox but i get the same issue, but strange that on other occasions it seems fine.

It's proving really hard to diagnose what the cause of the current issue is and the fact that it's intermittent is making it harder to resolve. But there is an ongoing investigation into the matter to try and get to the bottom of it and figure out what's going on. The server load tends to be low when the problem occurs though, so it doesn't appear to be a server issue directly. If we can't figure out what the issue is, we'll just have to move to a new host and hopefully resolve it that way.

Do you need us to provide any info? Browser info, time of issue etc?
