Taking into account the included credits, the NFT is a mere £9.99 which is a drop in the ocean for the regular tippers. The scrapbook would actually make you money, as it includes 2000 credits which as far as I know is worth £200, against the purchase price of £149.99.

Bearing in mind that Babestation mentioned the figure of 100,000 tokens, I thought I'd take a more detailed look at the 3 NFTs I mentioned earlier to get an idea of the numbers involved.

Lana Rhoades:

On the subject of numbers, it hasn't been explained by Babestation what the initial launch period would be and what would happen to any unsold tokens. We're being told that registration is open, but are lacking this very important information, so the existing marketing blurb is seriously inadequate and not fit for the purpose.

Put it this way, whether they mint or don't mint any unsold tokens is going to be critical to the value of those that have been sold, and yet we don't know what their intentions are in this respect. We're told to "watch its value increase" but without any proper information on how exactly this NFT is going to be launched.

Agreed, it's a clear breach of the advertising rules. Marketing of investment products must make it clear that the product value can go down as well as up. However, I can see 3 other rule breaches too which I list below.

Marketing for an unregulated financial product like an NFT is supposed to make it clear that it's an unregulated product.

All material information that the consumer needs to make informed decisions in relation to a product must be made available.

It should be mentioned that Capital Gains Tax could possibly be payable if profit were to be made from investing in an NFT.

The failure to make it clear that the product value is variable is a breach of CAP Code rule 14.4. The second item is a breach of rule 3.9 and probably rule 3.1 as well. The third item is a breach of rule 3.3 and the last a breach of rule 14.1 and probably rule 1.3.

Yes it's only a tenner. But I can't help thinking that Babestation are probably a bit late to the party here, as the failure of so many NFTs has led to them being perceived in a rather negative light, even if there have been some notable successes.

I didn't even notice that BS are losing £50 for each scrapbook they sell.

At least S66 sold their magazine for about £20.

I'll be watching this with interest to see how it does. I mean some NFTs have been successful so let's see what happens.
