RIP Donald Moffat

Really sad to find out Donald Moffat has passed away aged 87.

Actually born in England he made a name for himself after moving to the US in 1956.His last of acting credits is a mile long but for me,his best role was Gary in The Thing(1982).RIP

One line he says in The Thing has always stood out for me, because it always made me laugh no matter how many times I’d seen the film.

It’s the part when all the surviving members have had their blood tested. Gary finds out he’s not infected then says quietly “I know you Gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I’d rather not spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH!!”
