The Mandalorian

They have done well within the time, but it'd be better if they shot for 40 minutes each episode.
I suppose trying to keep the budget reasonable is why they're as short as they are, more episodes is a good trade off though.

They hit all the right fan service notes and every episode is action-packed. In their effort to ‘trim the fat’, so to speak, they appear to have done away with any drama. I think the series could stand a scene or two of just people talking about stuff, which would further flesh out the characters.

Not for nothing but, chronologically, it has now been 8 movies, 14 television episodes, 2 Ewok adventures and one Xmas special since the opening crawl of Phantom Menace ... and I still don’t know what’s happened to those damned trade routes.

Say what you want about that Xmas special, but without it we wouldn’t have The Mandalorian.

Boba Fett made his very first appearance as an animated sketch in the Xmas special.

It was 5 minutes of joy amidst 90 minutes of car crash television — but it defined the look and demeanour of The Bounty Hunter.
