A modest icon from a golden age of British children's telly, not quite as wacked-out as his frequent collaborator Olly Postgate, but a thoroughly nice bloke who reached a great age.

Bagpuss. A saggy old cloth cat, baggy and a bit loose at the seams, but Emily loved him.

I love the clangers, as a child it was one of my favourite programmes.
