Uber

So have spent today shaking my head in bewilderment at the Babeshow girls Twitter feeds and the outrage and concern about Uber license being withdrawn. Basic comment seems to be "who will pick me when I'm so pissed I cant stand" whilst failing to note one of the key reasons TFL are withdrawing the license is because of Uber's failure to do criminal records checks to make sure they're not hopping in a car with a rapist.

Loving all the City Wankers moaning about overpriced "rip off" Black Cabs. They have absolutely no sense of irony.

but its a huge own goal by Mr Khan it wont be UBER that suffers it will be there 40,000 drivers most of who will prob vote labour. and it will be us tax payers who will pick up the bill of there benefits.

And when he says London is open for business he is talking bollocks

He is only doing it because he wants to look good in front of the corbynistas at the Labour Party Conference where he was being snubbed a couple of days ago

And it will force people back into mini cabs who's reputation for Sexual assaults could be said is worse than UBER Drivers

would like to make a simple straight forward suggestion to the babes? : -
instead going "OMG No - one is there to pick me up when I'm pissed and have no money" why not take an extra friend with you in a grou who is designated driver and doesn't drink all night - chuck a £5 or £10 each for petrol and parking & share a car!! That way you get home without having to use a black cab or a cab that may not may not be safe!! no matter what people think I think TFL are right to withdraw the licenses of Uber since they do not check drivers they employ for criminal records. it is better to be safe than sorry.

I'm sorry but UBER has got what it deserved. Failure to do proper DBS checks and hiding from the Met Police rape attacks by its drivers on passengers. They treat there drivers like shit & have problems worldwide. There are other new companies ready to fill there place like Taxify.

Good riddance in my view. Whenever I book cabs home for lady friends of mine I pay a few quid more for a reputable service.

Oh and just look at how in the USA they rigged their system so that they did not pick up passengers who they knew were regulators checking up on them.

A DBS check will pick up previous convictions - not anyone who has never been "discovered" Uber were not even doing those right. They were also failing to report actual assaults on women by their drivers - but then from the top they've been historically a sexually discriminatory organisation so why should they bother if one of there drivers was assaulting women passengers!
