Nikki Haley US ambassador to UN has resigned

Didn't see that one coming. It's been suggested she has ambitions at the Presidency but she's ruled out running against Trump in 2020, which is a good move. She's relatively young and has plenty of time not to get involved with a fight against Trump, which would inevitably get messy.
Having said that, i wonder why she's resigned this early. She was doing a good job for Trump at the UN, yet she never came across as a typical Trump sycophant. I wonder if she's got wind of something coming down the track she doesn't want to be part of...

Or he's told her he's not going to run but will endorse her........

Hmm... but Obama was a 2-term President...

If they get absolutely slaughtered in the mid-terms he might decide to 'retire undefeated' but I doubt his ego will be thinking that way yet.

He was saying that Ivanka would be good for the role, don't know how serious he was, I thought he'd want to keep her closer.

She has ruled herself out in a tweet think he was doing it just to piss off the democrats

Bit of a change of pace, this sketch on SNL, Black Jeopardy, is one of the best political commentary sketches in recent years. Here Tom Hanks plays a Trump voter playing Black Jeopardy, rather than a straight forward mocking of the dumb hick it illustrates the similarities between African American culture and "Redneck" culture. The two form a venn diagram where "poor American working class" is the overlap. What separates Hanks' character from the other contestants & host is race. You can see that even though they start to get on, the prejudices remain and Hanks backs away from the host looking to shake his hand mistaking it as a sign of attack from a "black thug"


The ending is brilliant
