I'm sure that several of us described him as a sociopath, malignant narcissist etc etc at various points in this thread. His character was well known before the election, it's not like he was an unknown Congressman from Buttfuck, USA.

^ Greg Abbott the Republican Governor of Texas went on Fox during the week & blamed the power cuts on the failure of Wind Power Turbines & The Green New Deal which is a Democratic proposal. Well The Green New Deal is just a proposal at the moment so had no impact and Wind Power only provides less than 20% of Texas power & in Alaska their Turbines operate in all temperatures all year round. It’s subsequently been admitted that all other Texan power generation systems like gas pipelines had major issues as well.

The Texan power market is deregulated so the power companies skimp on contingency systems to maximise profits. Oh and they use dynamic pricing so if there is greater demand you all pay more for your power it seems which will no doubt mean that they’ve made greater profits during this crisis.

Texas is not connected to the national grid because they don't want 'Federal interference' in the way they run things. The power problems are all their own.

And yeah, Ted Cruz During the California wildfires last summer he tweeted..
