Doubt it he could be arrested for Child molestation this morning and they would still confirm him today

I doubt yesterday changed any Republican Senators mind so it will still depend on 2 or 3 of them who were undecided before the hearings. One thing to note though was that Supreme Court Justices can be Impeached and one of the Democratic Senators made a commitment to Blasey Ford that he would ensure her claims were fully investigated. So when the Democrats win control of the Senate you can expect a move to have the FBI do an investigation and if they find he lied in his confirmation hearings about his drinking or the sex claims he will be in trouble.

No matter what happened during the hearing short of a confession they just went through the motions.

have to say thing watching yesterday im glad we have the system we do even though the fuckwits are arguing over brexit we wouldnt have something like that happening here

I think they would be best served having legal experts running the investigation rather than partisan party hacks. He made a few crazy statements and if they had a proper look at it they would be able to get to the core of who he is rather than glaze over it.

They treat it as an entitlement but its supposed to be a job interview thats even before you acknowledge they basically dismissed the woman despite an acceptance she was credible. If she is telling the truth then he isn't. If he isn't he should be out of the running

The disturbing thing to me is that their whole system is so partisan and designed to reduce the 3rd arm of government (the judiciary) to a political institution.

Kavanaugh's record has not been fully examined as 100,000 pages of his previous White House work have been withheld, his previous use of confidential Democratic Senator paperwork which was stolen by a Republican worker in the George W Bush years has been denied over previous Senate Hearings when it is clear he knew he should not have seen it. In addition his denials about his drinking have caused his Yale classmates to openly call him a liar. As some have said he's lied about things he did not need to and that is a cause for concern.

Yep The vote will be at 6:30pm uk time. Kavanaugh’s nomination then goes to a full senate vote middle of next week.

think if this nomination does go through, the republicans will get hammered in the midterms in November because of the metoo movement & it’s massive support

One of the reasons for pushing it through was to have it done before November. The election can't undo the decision. He is a Trump puppy. He performed dreadfully but aadly the Republicans lost the sense of right and wrong some time ago.
