It was reported that Meat Loaf had collapsed during performing in Edmonton Canada

no further news as to his current condition.

Thoughts and prayers that he is okay

BBC News website reporting that Meat Loaf is "stable and in good condition".

His illness has been blamed on severe dehydration.

A statement posted on Meat Loaf's Facebook page read: "His vital signs are stable and normal - additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well."

"He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery."
