English National Anthem

Seeing the news that MP's been Debating wether is a need for an English National Anthem (Always thought it was Land of Hope and Glory ) thought we should have a debate about what should be the new english national anthem

I've always thought that we should have our own anthem.
Didn't England use Jerusalem at the last Commonweath Games.

You can have 500 Miles, I'm sure most of my fellow Scots would agree, you're welcome to it.

On a serious note though, as a Ross County and Sunderland fan I feel I have a foot in both camps and am all for a separate national anthem for England. It seems only fair.

The Uk National anthem is shit. It only makes reference to the Monarch and we are much more than that. Both Land of hope and glory and Jerusalem are far more positive and inclusive.

I think you've missed the point completely.

The debate isn't about replacing the UK National Anthem. It's about England getting its own anthem, which is long overdue.

Would Replace the UK one for the Star wars imperial march can just see it meeting putin waiting for cameron and then
