Noel Edmonds only appeared on I'm a Celeb yesterday (Thursday) & Goodfellas Emperor comments were days before that.Plus how do you know what the Celebrities are doing when the cameras aren't rolling as even old Harry Redknapp thought they had cafe in the camp that served bacon rolls for the celebrities when the cameras aren't rolling.

Take my comment in the light-hearted spirit it was mean't to be .Wink.

RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
Ex Australian PM Tony Abbott made some interesting suggestions regarding Brexit. I've paraphrased to shorten the article

Britain should go for a no deal and revert to a World Trading position. He says that it has worked very well for Australia
Britain can set their own rules, they can say for instance, that they will not impose any tariff or quotas on EU produces and they will recognise all EU product standards. Therefore there wouldn't be a need for border control between the EU & Britain. He says that we should negotiate this just do it.
And if Europe knows their best interests they will reciprocate this.

European workers already living in this country should be allowed to remain perminently. Again nothing to agree

And there should be free movement of people from the EU into Britain with conditions. No one allowed in without a job, no welfare. And it would include a foreign worker tax on employers to stop them taking the jobs of local workers.

Britain should pay the EU anything in a divorce bill. The EU should pick up any costs in the EU and Britain would pick up any cost in Britain.

There wouldn't be a border problem with Ireland as it would be freedom of movement. And the rules regarding Irish citizens would be the same as they were before we joined the EU.

There's not a lot that the EU could do. It can only impose levies of up to 4-5% (World Trade Rules) and this would be offset by the savings in the Brexit divorce.

He ended up saying that Britain has nothing to lose except the shackles that the EU has imposed on it.

I thought the whole point of Brexit was to end freedom of movement.

I have to say interesting comments from Mr. Abbott only I don't think the EU would buy it if we offered it to them...the Govt wasted two years of a negotiating period and the deal we have made doesn't stand up too well for me - and doesn't stand a cat in hell's chance in Parliament

His agreement is it wouldn't matter what the EU think.

Well that isn't true, because Australia doesn't trade very much on WTO rules. Australia has long had trade agreements with most of its trading partners, such as the USA, China and Japan, and many other countries too, and is currently trying to get a free trade deal with the EU.

So, we make our own rule that we will follow the EU rules on product standards.

That's genius. Why did nobody think of that before? #takebackcontrol

Exactly the point that he was making. By not being tied to the EU on trade you can make agreements where you want
