My points have shown, I feel, that indyref2 is not some underhand way to get what the SNP want, but it is entirely in keeping with what has happened, in respect of what was said in the first Independence referendum, and therefore, what the people voted on, but also, what was clearly stated by the SNP in their manifesto for the 2015 Scottish election, which resulted in the SNP being, by far, the largest party in Parliament, with them going on to form the Scottish Government. Entirely up-front, honest, transparent, unambiguous etc., and therefore, not a loophole, as you keep claiming.

If you cannot understand that after my numerous attempts at explaining it, then I am sorry, perhaps it's my fault, but this really is all I'm going to say.

Do you mean vote in the Scottish Parliament on whether to hold a second referendum? (no),
or do you mean vote in indyref2? (yes, I assume, as they are 'ordinary' Scottish citizens, though I can't remember exactly what the franchise says).

It matters not whether we are still currently EU members or not. What the markets hate most is uncertainty, and at the moment no-one knows what the exit negotiations will bring or indeed when or even if they will start.

What is needed is clear leadership to say this is the course of action laid out. And leadership is totally lacking right now. All that's happened is all the talk of another referendum and Scottish independence has added even more uncertainty.

They said it was the unexpected shock and the uncertainty rather than 'troubles ahed', which is a gross over reaction since at the moment nothing as changed since tuesday.

Nobody can know what's going to happen in 2 years time and that's IF the UK is out by then.

As i once said before, I have never understood the markets and why there is a depressio if someone sneezes.

But the US people did say the recoverry from the initial shock should happen fairly rapidly.
