Europe, Referendum & Brexit (formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)

poor old David Cameron. Took it for granted that those that wanted to stay in Europe were the silent majority where as In fact they were as they still are,
the noisy minority.

It sucks that he resigns and will hand the keys to no 10 to George Osborne for sure...

No he didn't. Quite the opposite.

The whole thing was a gamble and he knew it all along. He did his best to sound confident, but he knew he was taking a big risk.

actually i dont see boris becoming PM u see the episode of Yes minister Party games where the 2 prospective prime minsiters one is in trouble for fraud and one in trouble for sexual misdemenours that will be Boris

I would imagine other contenders might include Theresa May, Stephen Crabb and maybe Liam Fox.
Michael Gove as well possibly.

The question I for Cameron I think is if he was so convinced of the negative consequences of a Brexit vote why even call the referendum in the first place and play Russian Roulette with his premiership? The answer to that, I suspect is the long standing division over Europe within his own party and a desire to appease the Euro sceptic flank with a referendum
However it has backfired and whether the party can ever heal its divisions over Europe is open to question.
