Eurovision 2015
Ireland, the most successful country in the history of Eurovision, have failed to make the final of the song contest this year, going out at the semi-final stage as the likes of Albania and Azerbaijan made it though.

Here's some stats showing that female entrants are more successful.

Last year's winner has been classified as a boy for the purposes of the above stats and the winner in 1998 has been classified as a girl.

Eurovision is simply not the same without Terry Wogan and his witty quips. No doubt Graham Norton does his best but he hsan't the subtlety or charm of Sir Terry and just comes acdross as a bit of a prat.

I see Australia has entered this year, I know the EU is growing but this is ridiculous.

^ My understanding is that if they win they will get to participate again next year. But it will have to be hosted by a Eurovision country.

It may be the UK's best option to run the show Rolleyes

This competition always brings back memories of when I only had 4 channels to watch and ending up forcing myself to sit through all this junk. Let's not kid ourselves here for a nation that has produced some of the finest artists in the world it has never ever been truly reflected on the Eurovision stage.

Expect some dodgy Eastern European act to win it again, I won't be watching Big Laugh

It's like the Brit Awards; a believable contest when you're young, complete cobblers when you're older.
