After 9/11 the doors where fitted to protect the pilots from the passengers, now they are trying to find a way to protect the passengers from the pilots. This really is a screwed up world.

It looks like they won't have any choice though, as 2 people in the cockpit at all times is likely to become mandatory.

Yeah that was their original statement yesterday but in the past 24 hours the German Aviation Authority and now European regulators are going to make it mandatory to have 2 crew in the cockpit at all times

So, he was being treated for eyesight problems hence the sick note. If the Airline knew he would probably have been grounded. Instead, he chose to take 150 people with him.

I just don't have the words.

You don't want somebody on the ground to be able to override an aircraft.
When I'm going on a trip I do not want some kid hacking into the aircraft flight system and crashing it.

German newspaper Bild is claiming to have seen video footage taken onboard by a passenger during the last moments, and recovered from a mobile phone memory card found at the crash site. Paris Match also says they have seen it. However, investigators have denied that any such video exists.

Just imagine the carnage terrorist groups could create if they could hack in and fly the planes remotely. It doesn't bare thinking about.

i understand what your all saying about hacking the plane but to be able to activate and engage the auto pilot would be advantageous, as far as i know passenger jets can't be flown by wire. i mean if terrorist had the capabilities to hack that system whats to stop them hacking air traffic control and causing havoc.

If a mobile phone survived the crash it is possible that it uploaded a video file to the cloud? Some people know their partner's password and would be able to retrieve a file.

Probably there was no signal at the mountain crash site, but is it possible that a phone uploaded a video as soon as it was retrieved and taken to a suitable place?
