Restart your computer.
On your desktop, click Start, then click Run.
Type "load my shit properly u mutha" – without the inverted commas. Then click OK.
Log back in.
You should now see avatars.

If you still don't see avatars you either have: a) what's generally known as a 'shit browser', b) what's generally known as a 'shit computer', or c) both.

If this is the case, sign up / log in to Twitter. On Twitter, tweet: "My browser is shit / my computer is shit, and I need help."

Wait for someone to recommend a toolbar which will solve all your problems.
Make sure you've never heard of the toolbar, then disable all your security software, and download it.
