I know, please read The Order of the Day by Éric Vuillard you'll love it.

I just heard a minister (forgot his name, sorry) on the radio explaining the government's policy and this isn't what he said.

The message was stay at home if you can work from home and only go out to work if the rules are being followed there.

TalkSport are still broadcasting, complete with studio guests - even though there isn't any sport.

That is most definitely not true. I've just taken the trouble to read the government website, gov.uk, and the advice given there is almost the complete opposite of what you claim. It even says that it's important for business to carry on.

People can travel to and from work, but only where the work they do cannot be done from home. With the exception of the organisations covered above in the section on closing non-essential shops and public spaces, the Government has not required any other businesses to close – indeed it is important for business to carry on.

The section on closing non-essential shops and public spaces referred to lists restaurants, pubs, hairdressers, gyms, cinemas and various other places open to the public. There's no mention of broadcasters or any kind of business which isn't open to the public.

I flicked over to Babestation last night a shade before 10:30 (prior to watching the final part of the O.J. Simpson documentary on BBC4) to see if anything had changed and it was clear that social distancing isn't being enforced for starters.

Also, people keep reiterating this "going into work if you can't work from home", are people honestly trying to claim that there are girls who work on these channels whose only income is their TV work?

RE: Babestation - General Chat & Discussion
I tuned into Radio 5 Live this morning, and even most of their presenters were now working from home. Now indeed broadcasters weren't mentioned in the government's advice but at least they took it upon themselves to lead by example the message that should be put out rather than climb through the government's full of holes advice. And I'd class them a more essential broadcaster.

Every babe can work from home but I guess the channels would miss the in studio rinsing revenue like listen in lines so coronavirus be damned. And I too saw a lack of social distancing the other night, which could be tough in their tight surroundings.

^ Yes the pertinent point is a good one: Instinctively one expects such a technology based communications service to have the infrastructure in place to ensure they could put entire home working into effect. This would better comply with the government's current intent.

But as has been said, much work that is not face-to-face with the public is still allowed provided distancing is maintained. For the moment specialist advice is clearly advocating for select things that help us cling to some sense of normality* and there has to be an economic side to the question too (what's good for the economony is good country after all and the protection of it's resources). It's always going to be a balancing act. What duration of each level of lockdown can the country endure without an indefinite overall end date? Because the extent of lockdown is clearly going to continue to shift as we go through this. All non-key work may yet have to stop. But that period would be best kept as short as possible would it not?

Size of company has likely helped 66 in its decision to go all home cam too of course.

* I imagine BS bosses are justifying their path by thinking they are providing an entertainment service in the same way as say Ant and Dec do when they turned up for their curtailed studio set up at the weekend say. Different scale I know but distractions that don't require cramped gatherings do have their place at this time I think.

The idea that the babeshows "are not that deep" is driven by those that don't wish to acknowledge how much effective customer service and a consideration of psychology impacts users' future interactions.
