It's certainly stopped me posting night show vids.

Yeah, It could well be the reason. It's stopped me recording BSDaytime for the most part. Usually I'd record one or 2 channels for 2 or 3 hours then check the recording and maybe do a vid. But at 2000kb it costs too much data to do that now.

That's why I mention the shower sections, particularly the evening ones on the web channels. People see something immediately interesting happening and start recording straight away, and it quickly overloads the capacity, causing the stream to stop/start all the time.
That's what needs fixing first, the capacity, as it's been doing that from 10pm - 1am most nights for nearly a year, across the channels, and the streams were only 800kb then.

Increasing bitrates to deter constant recording would presumably be the cheaper option for them? Bit of a gamble though.

if they have done it to stop recording then its madness as i know of prople who have stopped called as they cant watch the show properly anymore,
its really going to cost them in the long run

MTB stream is currently 1920 x 1080 , (bitrate circa 3200 kbps ?) leading to some BIG caps!






The stream looks great... so long as the babe and/or camera don't move!

Nice to see Penny advertised, however I have a sense her appearance will be like Jessika Jinx's where she's back, puts on a good show but then is not seen again. Either that or she'll be off screen the majority of the night being the 'hot girl caller'.

That's one way of increasing costs - not just more data usage but encouraging people to buy larger/higher res monitors/screens, to display caps properly without sidescrolling.
Maybe display better on phones/tablets.

I was looking at a google support page for the recommended bitrates for youtube videos, which should probably apply to actual webstreams too. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en

According to them, 2000kb/s is about right for a 720x404 res.




...Let's hope they don't adopt 4k anytime soon!

I thought the 2000 kbps was a worthwhile improvement, but, as mentioned previously, there are other problems with their streams that need to be addressed ('tearing'/blurring during movement, for one ).

Strangely, I've had much less of a problem with intermittent freezing recently, than has been the case for much of this year!? Then again, increasingly, there's so little of interest to me, that maybe it just seems that way because I rarely bother watching anymore?

I personally don't call anymore due to basically no live streams!

It seems that all 3 streams are now running 1920 x 1080!
