The original poll question was fairly sweeping and I didn't want to label him a "bad president" (especially given the record of his predecessors) by voting "No" - it's more that he's been very dissappointing - especially in foreign affairs.

I wasn't saying the Afghan people are "bandits" - it's the government and its officials I was referring to.

I think if our armed services pull out (which seems on the cards), the Taliban will sweep the current government aside (as they did before) and re-assume power.

Totally agree with you on that one Metarzan(Post 22). From my experience over there nearly 9yrs ago, me personally can't really see it being safe to call all our troops back for at least another 6-7yrs but I could be wrong.
