RE: Mainstream TV nudity vs babeshow nudity
Back to the point.

Watched Get Em Off last night on Sky Arts 2, about 11:30pm to 11:55. It was a 1976 cinema film about soho strippers. There were quite a few full frontal shots, and at least one lingering shot from top of the thighs to the neck (showing pubes tum and tits, with no screen space er, wasted, on fripperies such as legs or face. I suppose as a documentary it was duty bound to record what was on displayed). The women all had extensive bush and there were no close ups, so no fanny was actually visible. By the standards of strip clubs 5 years later it was quite tame but by cinema standards it was pushing the boundaries.

Today the situation is reversed. A documentary can show internal ejaculation shots, vaginal examinations and compare erect penis sizes, but a babe channel that showed the same amount of full frontal public hair was this 1976 film would be hauled over the coals. And dont tell me it was a documentary, the only reason people paid to watch these was for sexual arousal. Also it put a tick in the UK production quote box along with awful compulsary B-movies documentaries about whiskey production.

Nudity, always one way of getting your ratings up. Saw this when it was aired last year and plenty of shaven pussy, in context of course. This was the Miss Nude Australia 2008 show so where are the followup 2009 and 2010 shows. Followed by the Crippendales, the first all male disabled strip act. A bit like The Full Monty but with wheelchair and walking stick.

I've always been surprised that 'Game of Thrones' airs at 9pm...

You can see tons of sex and violence on there, yet all our babes have to remain fully clothed till 10pm.

I missed this one! What was it like and at what time shown?

Sex: How To Do Everything is on right now on 177. I wonder if they'll talk about anal licking again Rolleyes

Sexcetera on 122 just showed uncensored penises being stimulated, as well as uncensored open leg vaginal shots.

The sex guide show just showed a person in an aligator costume going down on a man, uncensored.

Also, why does Ofcom say the babe channels are in the teleshopping location, when infact they encompass the 900 channels, and everyones know what the 900 channels are?

Shit shit shit, I keep missing this stuff. If it is at 9 or 10 I have company and cant watch. After that I kind of forget. Tuned into Game of Thrones a few nights ago, saw Sean Bean growling and decided Id prefer to watch Sophia. Cant think why. As for Sexcetera, the tone just puts me off.

On a related note, a violent ad for The Mechanic has been banned. If featured a man being speared through the leg and another being shot in the face, and was broadcat during Glee.

Chris Evans (twat) slams the BBC compliance culture. ""The compliance department of the BBC is so extensive it's an unbelievable nightmare," he told an audience at the Hay Literary Festival in Powys, Wales.

"Sometimes you come up with an idea and the compliance... is so great that you just say, 'let's not bother'. The BBC strengthened its compliance guidelines in 2008, after a series of rows over taste and decency. These included the dispute over prank calls made by Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand, and complaints over comments made by Frankie Boyle on BBC Two's Mock the Week." (3 June 2011)
So thats self censorship meaning ideas dont even get onto the drawing board.

Also "Stephen Fry has said there is a culture of fear at the BBC which is creating "incredibly bland" programmes. The host of BBC Two's QI told the Radio Times executives with "cold feet" were shying away from taking creative risks. "A lot of the adventure and excitement have gone out of television programming and a lot of it is just down to fear."" (7 Sept 2010).

Bounce That Mechanic as is just NOW being banned? Funny how it was allowed to be broadcast for weeks up until the movie was in theaters, all with the violence left it.
