Invictus (2009)

Biographical sports drama highlighting the efforts made by South African president Nelson Mandela to rebuild a torn nation, set against the backdrop of the country hosting the rugby world cup in 1995. Obviously the movie is a little predictable and I have doubts about the historical accuracy of some of it's scenes, but there is a huge feel good factor with an overriding feeling of how hope can triumph over adversity, both on and off the rugby field. The camerawork during the rugby segments is impressive, showing good attention to detail and lead actors Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon give strong performances. An inspiring hit. 7/10

Pain & Gain. One of The Rock's better performances and possibly Michael Bays' underrated masterpiece. Much better than The Batman. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Spectre (2015)

The 24th Bond film and Daniel Craig's 4th in the role failed to meet my expectations and I found it to be a disappointing follow up to the excellent Skyfall. A plot that although answered some of the mysteries created by the average Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace films, then created a weak and lazy story.

There is a good fight scene involving ex WWE star Batista, but other action scenes are far too unrealistic and too many characters are underused. A frustratingly anticlimactic ending summed up a very average film. Underwhelming. 5.5 / 10

Morbius

Really good comic book film with Jared Leto as Dr Michael Morbius. Very good special effects & action

7/10

2 scenes during the credits, 1 that ties into the events of Spiderman: No Way Home & the other that sets up the next film in this Sony Spiderverse

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

A rare case where the sequel is better than the first film in the franchise. Fantastic fun from start to finish including Jim Carrey on magnificent form as Dr Robotnik. Fantastic special effects and action

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore

The 3rd film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise is a very good addition to the wizardimg world with very good special effects & action.

Mads Mikklesen is excellent as Gellert Grindelwald after he replaced Johnny Depp in the role

8/10
