Actually it wasn’t Marvel that came with the extended universe idea it was Universal Pictures with the monster movies

Mission Impossible: The Mummy killed the whole monster universe plan didn't it, which was a damn shame. I liked The Mummy, it wasn't as good as the Brendan Fraser one, but I liked the darker tone, I get why it flopped though. I also really liked Dracula Untold, I was looking forward to seeing more of that version of Dracula, it deserved a sequel set in the modern day Sad

Both movies actually killed off the idea of ever doing the dark universe and there other things that happened that well truly killed it off but i won‘t bore people with that......anyway back to the last film you watched Smile

Beyond skyline (2017)
I rather enjoyed this film, a sequel to 2010s skyline film which i only just found out existed and also has a 3rd film out "skylines"

I found this to be a entertaining scfi film also has the guys from the raid in it so it has little kungfu sprinkled in... 6.8/10

Yeah, I too enjoyed that Tom Cruise version of The Mummy, especially for it having a female villain/antagonist. Do like Dracula Untold too

Dark Waters

Not bad. Legal drama and true story about the lawyer who took on Dupont for essentially poisoning a small town in West Virginia by leaking a deadly chemical into the drinking water.

Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins and Anne Hathaway.

Assassin’s Creed

I had low expectations with video game to movie adaptations but I really liked it. Am a massive fan of all the Assassins creed games and played them inside and done everything in the games and I mean everything and got 100% synch in every game till they got it out in the newer games all tho I have Odyssey but not played it yet except for a trial version of it and I haven’t got the latest game in the series Assassin’s Creed Valhalla yet.
For me they got the feel of movie right with the game right down to the movement and weapons, all it feels and looks a lot like the first Assassins Creed game even the story very similar all tho with the tech there are differences in the movie. Now it’s a pretty long film especially with the end credits. My only minor issues that I wish they spent more time in animus rather then the real world a problem the games had at first as playing in the world was more fun. Also I feel you’ll get more out of the movie if you’ve played the games like I have to some it maybe it bit confusing.
A big credit I do give the film is when there back into the past it’s not in English giving that time period a realistic favour. Overall I really enjoyed it maybe as said before for me I am big fan of games and under the history of them.

Dodgeball: A true underdog story.

One of my favourite comedies. Jason Bateman never fails to crack me up. Quality.

Nothing to do with it being a female director (there are many fantastic female directors), it's more to do with her ignorance to the genre. She thought she knew better and clearly doesn't, plus this film was tone deaf on many occasions, it was rapey with the body take over thing and it was racist with the depiction of Egypt. She was forced to do things she didn't want in the first movie, which is why it was good, they let her do her own thing this time and well, it's slipping further and further down in numbers, currently at 67% on Google reviews, that is very, very bad. She shouldn't be allowed to touch the third without proper supervision from Wonder Woman experts (that she swapped for Geoff Johns), other DC movies may suffer because of this, which is a shame.
