Dads Army.

Stellar cast with some great double-character acting, but they were always on a hiding to nothing with this.

Terminator Dark Fate

Not sure why this film needs to exist, other than to make money.
Not so much a reboot as a retread.
Has nothing to add to a well-worn story, except the novelty of all-female protagonists, and a frankly ridiculous ability of the T2 style "liquid metal" Terminator to literally jump out of its skin and have its metal skeleton running about independently of its replica human facsimile. Ludicrous.

The Old Guard 7/10.

''A group of mercenaries, all centuries-old immortals with the ability to heal themselves, discover someone is onto their secret, and they must fight to protect their freedom.''

I think the synopsis oversells it somewhat, and imo it would have worked better as a show, they really needed to flesh out the characters better.
It also needed more flashbacks, and they needed to be more detailed/longer, but it was a decent film. If they make a second I'll watch it.

Atomic Blonde.

Cold war action thriller starring Charlize Theron as MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton.

Not the easiest plot to follow but the action more than made up for it. Broughton is basically John Wick in heels Cool
And great double plot twist at the end.

I hope they make some more of these Smile

Resident Evil Degeneration

Way prefer the cgi movies over the live action films and Leon S. Kennedy my fav character in the franchise is a bad ass.

The Personal History of David Copperfield -

Decent adaptation of the Charles Dickens story by Armando Ianucci. Good cast.
Brisk running time inevitably means some of the subplots go by the wayside, but it doesn't really suffer for it. Avoids some of the worst of the cloying Victorian sentimentality.

Final Score -

A "Sky Cinema" vehicle for Dave Bautista. Die Hard in a football stadium.
Absolutely bonkers.
So many unbelievable moments it's hard to pick one out, but I'm going to ignore all the ludicrous action stunts and go for the implausible way that Pierce Brosnan's Soviet terrorist fugitive avoids being discovered by computer recognition software despite sporting a hairstyle and beard that screams ofa Russian/Stalinist/Lenin-y stereotype look.
Slightly surprisingly gruesome and violent moments for a "15".

Last night I saw the film London Has Fallen on channel5 last night.

It's a film for those who like a high death count.

The Prime Minister had died, suitably named James Wilson. Rolleyes
Then at the end of the film a government was being set up under new Prime Minister Clarkson bladewave. Now there's thought.
