Despicable Me 2(2013) The now ex villain Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) is recruited by the Anti Villain League to go undercover to foil a new super villain. An amusing and clever sequel, even The Minions are growing on me! Including the voices of Kristen Wiig, Steve Coogan,Benjamin Bratt & Russell Brand. 6.5/10

Witchfinder General(1968) Its 1645, at the height of the English Civil War, and in the eastern part of England, people, many innocent are being burnt or hanged as witches, organised by the Witchfinder General( Vincent Price in good form). When a Roundhead soldier (Ian Ogilvy, a fine, complex performance) loses a friend accused of witchcraft, he decides to strike back. An exciting, bloody film, although the fight scenes are slightly unconvincing, as well as Price and Ogilvy, Robert Russell stands out as Prices' evil assistant. Also starring Nicky Henson, Rupert Davies & Hilary Heath. 7/10

Logan

Now we finally get the Wolverine film that we deserve loosely based on the old man Logan storyline.
Hugh Jackman knocks it out of park as damaged Logan and Patrick Stewart plays a ill and mental damaged Professor Xavier. Young actress Dafne Keen who plays Laura/X-23 was fantastic given her age and role she was given also great were the supporting cast Stephen Merchant as Caliban, Boyd Holbrook as Pierce, Richard E. Grant as Dr Rice and Eriq La Salle as Will Munson were all great and all played a part in this moving story.
The film is very violent and brutal along with a lot of swearing you can see why it earned its R rating in the States and 15 in the UK.
This film for had every thing you would want from a blockbuster movie Action, Drama and Gut Wrenching events mixed in with humour and twists that keep you fully engaged with the movie. It's also beautifully shot it's gonna look great wheh it comes out on Blu Ray. People have said it's a X-Men film which it really isn't it just feels like a gritty post apocalyptic future which is no where as dark as the apocalyptic future that we saw at the start of Days of Future Past. For me this is best Marvel film that actually isn't a Marvel Studio film. My only nitpick is we don't see what happened to X-Men all tho it's kinda of explained originally there where gonna do a scene showing what happened to them but decided against it which is shame. The CGI was very good and there's more of it then you realise if you look up what they and also what happens in the film which I won't give away. I highly recommend this film even if your not a X-Men fan you gotta see this, the film of the year so far and it's gonna take a lot of beating. Watch out for the Easter Eggs too.

9.9/10.

The Creeping Flesh(1973)

A horror from director Freddie Francis set in Victorian London.A scientist brings the remains of a weird humanoid back from abroad for examination only to find that once exposed to water, the remains become reanimated.Although its quite silly and disjointed like three separate stories put together,it's tolerable throughout thanks to a monster that's worth waiting for and good turns from Christopher Lee,Peter Cushing,Duncan Lamont, Michael Ripper and Lorna Heilbron.

Cruel Summer

Not a blockbuster by any means, just a straight up true events British movie.
I've never been so vex watching a film than I was while watching this, and to top of my rage was the piss poor sentences handed out at the end.
I would love to f#@k up those involved (seriously )

Not my usual type watch but 7/10 fair.

Hellbound: Hellraiser II

Not seen any of the sequels until now. Not as good as the first, but I do like how it pretty much picks up where the first left off. I also again, as I said about the first, love the practical effects (some sweet stop-motion stuff here). I like how, at this point at least, Pinhead isn't pure evil. He stops the female Cenobite from going after Tiffany, knowing damn well who REALLY wanted the box open and used her to do it. Not too sure about an origin for Pinhead and the others though, but I can go with it.

Tarzan Of The Apes(1918)

Scott Sidney directed the first film based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs books. Its quite faithful and done with respect and the right intentions.Elmo Lincoln is also watchable as Tarzan and the ape suits and make up are acceptable for the standards of that time.

Life (2015) The story of photographer Dennis Stocks(played by Robert Pattinson) and the photos he took of James Dean for Life Magazine. A potentially interesting subject fails to live up to its promise as the Stocks character is dully written, although Pattinson works hard, while Dane DeHaan gives a pretty much one note performance, Dean coming over as fairly annoying. Since these two characters spend a large part of the film on screen together, this leads to a rather tiresome hour 50 minutes. Some of the photos Stock took are shown in the end credits and are excellent. Also starring Ben Kingsley, Joel Edgerton & Alessandra Mastronardi. 5/10
