A western from director Art James.A seemingly harmless and unemployed cowboy arrives in a small town in Arizona,but its soon revealed that he has revenge in mind against the man who conned his father.The chemistry between Wally West and Tanya Beauford is evident throughout and make this oldie an enjoyable classic.

Walkabout (1971) Jenny Agutter & Luc Reog star as English siblings lost in the Australian Outback who meet an Aboriginal youth (David Gulpilil)on Walkabout(a coming of age initiation ceremony) with consequences for both parties. Typically with director Nic Reog this film is thin on story but high on visuals,indeed the cinematography is top notch. What is it about, probably the relationship between Man and Nature, between different cultures, the decay of nature and machinery, and teenage hormones. Also starring John Meillon. 7/10

A Most Violent Year (2014)

Slow burning, tense crime drama set in early 1980s New York. A businessman from an immigrant background struggles to maintain his honest principles in a town where rival crime families vie for supremacy and where corruption can be found in even the most unlikely of places. I recommend this - it might seem a little drawn out but it's a rewarding film with strong performances and some explosive twists that will knock you out. Oscar Isaac, Jessica Chastain, Alessandro Nivola, David Oyelowo and Albert Brooks star. 3.5 / 5

Reach For The Sky(1956)

A touching world war two drama from director Lewis Gilbert based on the true to life events involving Douglas Bader who despite loosing both his legs,returned to combat once he has healed.Kenneth Moore,Lyndon Brook and Muriel Parlow all put in extraordinary performances.

Impact(1949) Brian Donlevy stars in this noirish drama/thriller as a man whose wife(Helen Walker) and wife's lover (Tony Barrett) plan to murder him but then the lover is accidentally killed. Despite some poor plot contrivances and at times ropy script, this is an engaging thriller with some twists, with fine performances, especially Donlevy,Walker as the femme fatale , Charles Coburn as the wily policeman & Ella Raines, the odd segment of shadowy cinematography and good chemistry between Donlevy & Raines.. Also starring Mae Marsh, Anna May Wong & Robert Walker. 7.5/10

The Witch 6/10 - creepy horror set in 17th century america, it has a blair witch feel about it and one or two good scares.

The Adventures of TinTin: The Secret of The Unicorn, really enjoyed been a big fan of TinTin ever since I was child. Great special effects by Weta Digital Ltd and music by John Williams. Look out for the nod to original TinTin at the start of the film, really hope they make another one 9/10.

Crow Hollow(1952)

A noirish suspense thriller from director Michael McCarthy based on the novel by Dorothy Eden.A newly wed bride comes to live with her husband at Crow Hollow only to find her happiness interrupted by the groom's three spinster aunts who live there also as a part of the agreement so he can inherit the estate.Soon the situation goes from unpleasant to dangerous as various attempts are made on the bride's life.A slow burner but well acted by Donald Houston and Natasha Perry as the newly weds.

Rogue One : A Star Wars Story 9/10 - this is so much better than The Force Awakens and the prequel trilogy, good story, excellent special effects and genuine tension. The next movie has a lot to live up to.

Trading Places, all I can say is this film is a classic and Jamie Lee Curtis was hot in this film 9.5/10.
