Underworld: Special Extended Edition

I love the twist and the villain not really so bad after all when you find out the big reveal. Also a young Wentworth Miller from Legends of Tomorrow and Prison Break 8.5/10.

The Ring(1953)

A rags to riches drama about a young Mexican man who struggles to earn a living as a boxer in Los Angeles. A couple of well choreographed fight sequences add to the narrative and Gerald Mohr and Rita Moreno excell as the two main characters.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994) The friendship of two cons(Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins) in Shawshank prison from the 40s till the 60s. A film with good perceptions on the human condition helped by the central performances, the mix of humour and drama and Freeman's interesting, articulate narration. With Bob Gunton, William Sadler,Clancy Brown,Gil Mellows & James Whitmore(a touching performance). 7.5/10

The Uninvited (2009) Emily Browning as a teenager who following the death of her mum in a fire and a spell in a mental institution returns to the family home to face supernatural occurrences. Probably unoriginal or unremarkable would have made better titles with the odd spooky moment and an unexpected twist towards the end. Browning, Elizabeth Banks, Arielle Kebbel & David Straithairn make the best of the material. Also starring Kevin McNulty & Jesse Moss. 5.5/10

Hitman Agent 47, actually really enjoyed it not gonna set the world alight with the film of Year but it's great action set pieces and it's far better then the previous Hitman film. My grip is i wish Rupert Friend had gone for the clean shaven bald look rather then simply shaving his head. 7/10.

10 Cloverfield Lane 7/10 very good follow up (of sorts ) to 2008s Cloverfield, a tense and creepy film, with a few good twists and featuring an excellent performance from John Goodman.
