Sicario 6/10 - disappointing and nowhere near as exciting as the trailer made out.

The Gift 7.5/10 - very good creepy thriller.

Northern Soul(2014) Its Manchester 1974. Elliott James Langridge plays a soon to be school leaver who picks up a passion for Northern Soul, but soon various pressures intervene. A realistic feeling film with decent acting, well done dancing scenes and excellent music. However, its a bit short on a really gripping plot, and is rather padded out by those dancing scenes. Langridge does a fine job playing a youth who's occasionally violent but often inarticulate. Also starring Antonia Thomas,Jack Gordon,Josh Whitehouse, Steve Coogan, Ricky Tomlinson & Lisa Stansfield. 6/10

Miracle On 34th Street (1947)

Edmund Gwenn gives a deserved Oscar-winning performance as the department store Santa who has to prove he is in fact the real Santa Claus. Delightful heart-warming seasonal fantasy which everyone can enjoy. One of the quintessential Christmas films. 5/5

A film adapted from the book 'A Street Cat Named Bob'.

A story of a homeless drug addict trying to break free of drug use who befriends a ginger cat who helps him along the way. A heartwarming watch based on a true life story of James Bowen which addresses some serious societal issues.

9/10.

Batman vs Superman - Ultimate edition, far better than the original cinema release this version adds much needed depth to the conflict between the two superheroes.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two (2011) The series reaches its conclusion as Harry and Co strive to destroy the remaining Horcruxes and Hogwarts is the main battlefield. The film generally ties everything up, although not without some shocks and twists along the way. A quality series that certainly bears at least another watch, there's nice cameos from Ciaran Hinds & Kelly Macdonald in this one. 7.5/10

The Hateful Eight 8/10 - another excellent movie from Quentin Tarantino, a slow start leads to a violent and bloody second half that is not for the squeamish.
