Evidence (2013 )

Superior slasher flick with a half decent plot for this type of movie. The storyline is part Blair witch part Hostel.

Man On The Eiffel Tower(1949)

The brilliant Charles Laughton puts in another acting masterclass as Inspector Maigret, trying to solve one of his most difficult and infamous cases.Pursuing a murderer through Paris. The superb cast also includes Burgess Meredith and Franchot Tone.

Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (2004)
Harry's 3rd year at Hogwarts, with Sirius Black, jailed for killing Harry's parents, and having escaped the prison of Azkaban and maybe after Harry. Darker still than the previous film, this intricately plotted but clever story gives Daniel Radcliffe a chance to shine, as he learns more about his parents' deaths and confronts his fears. Interesting stuff includes the Knight Bus, the Marauder's Map, the Hippogriff and the Dementers with subjects such as werewolves and time travel covered, as the plot again touches on prejudices. More superb guest roles include Gary Oldman(as Sirius), David Thewless, Timothy Spall & Emma Thompson. 8/10

Shivers(1975)

David Cronenberg's first feature film and already his body horror aesthetic is clearly evident.A doctor experiments with parasites for use in organ transplants and develops an organism that once ingested, causes uncontrollable sexual desire. The organism spreads throughout an apartment complex with horrific and violent results.A none to subtle metaphor for disease and sexual pressure as it relates to the human condition.Cronenberg makes a cameo as one of the infected apartment dwellers.

Spooks - the greater good 3/10 dull big screen spinoff of the tv show, lacks any real action or excitement.

Fight Club(1999) A jaded businessman (Edward Norton) meets Tyler Durden(Brad Pitt) on a flight, and things change.. An imaginatively filmed and directed movie, with an intelligent script and top performances from Norton & Pitt (possibly his best), the first half is the best, a bit of a satire and a dark comedy, but it does feel overlong at 2 hours 20 minutes, the characters aren't likeable and does feel all a bit relentless. Good supporting turns from Helena Bonham-Carter & Meat Loaf. 7/10

The Vampire and the Ballerina(1960)

Black and white Italian schlock from Renato Poiselli.A troupe of ballerinas take shelter in a spooky castle that is filled with vampires. The Italian version has some nicely worked in eroticism to go with the jumps and gore but in the subsequent American release, all the nudity was cut out.Since that was the selling point, the American audience's indifference to the film was totally justified.

Original : 7/10
Cut version 4/10

The Avengers (Avengers Assemble) Calling by its proper name as I can't the UK name, out the of the two Avengers films this one was my fav, good action with the right amount of humour and with breath taking effects. The only grips I had were how Loki was captured way too easily, or how Hawkeye got on to the ship you would have thought they would have changed his codes because of what happened to him, the final grip is on the Blu Ray version is the edited Coulsen scene apart from that a fun action packed movie really loved it. 9.4/10.
