Kwaidan(1964)

Kwaidan means "ghost story" in jspanese and this beautiful anthology film from director Masaki Kobayashi is comprised of four Japanese folk tales compliled by Lafacadio Hearn. The most interesting of the stories is "Hoichi the Earless,"a blind musician who has a terrifying and agonising encounter with one of the ghostly subjects from the songs he writes.

The Magnificent Seven (1960) - 7/10.

Classic western with an all star cast and a catchy theme tune. Worth a look.

I Walked With A Zombie(1943) A nurse gets a job looking after a wife of a sugar plantation owner in the West Indies, but all is not as it seems... Directed by Jacques Tourneur who did the noir classic Out Of The Past, this belies its rather lurid title, and is a creepy movie with effective black and white cinematography and despite its subject matter feels relatively realistic as its nicely underplayed. Starring Frances Dee, Tom Conway,James Ellison, Edith Barrett,James Bell, Christine Gordon, Theresa Harris, Sir Lancelot & Darby Jones 7.5/10

Suburra(2016)

A former crime boss known as 'Samurai" is asked by Mafia families to use his connection and considerable influence to speed up the renovation of a now derelict waterfront of Rome into the equivalent of Las Vegas. This results in disastrous consequences for all involved.
A hard hitting, violent,Italian Mafia thriller from director Stefano Sollima.

The Magnificent Seven (2016)

Loved this movie considering it's a remake of a remake, the cast they chose where perfect Denzil Washington was great as always he always knows how to command the roles his given, Chris Pratt great again for me rising to be one best actors in Hollywood.
Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onefrio, Byung-Hun Lee, Martin Sensmeier, Manuel García-Rulfo, Haley Bennett. Peter Sarsgaard played the villain he was good just wish he was in it a little more apart from that he was good, the film is violent so warned.
Antoine Fuqua has directed a good movie not only is it visually impressive but music is very impressive too. The end credits are really and it's different when you see it. 9/10.

Spiderman 3.

Number 2 especially the directors cut version was great then we get this film, it starts off a good opening sequence explaining the first two films then it's down hill from there, the special effects and action scenes are great but it's the story where it falls apart. Venom and Sandman and Harry Osbourne wasted and new plot about Uncle Ben totally bollocks. Lastly emo Peter Parker and him dancing that's enough for me lol. 6.5/10.

Blood For Dracula[aka Andy Warhol's Dracula](1974)

Udo Kier is both brilliantly funny and tragically sad as a sickly Count Dracula who needs to leave Transylvania in search of young virgin blood. He finds four beautiful young women living with their father but the estate's handyman(Joe Dallesandro)deflowers each one of the ladies before Dracula can drink their blood.Director Paul Morrissey manages to make a humourous and quite elegant film from a ludicrous plot.

Death In Love (2008) A drama about a concentration camp inmate and her relationship with a Nazi doctor and subsequently her sons' troubled lives. A dull, wordy film with irritating characters at times talking interminably, interspersed with nearly as dull flashbacks from World World Two. To try to jazz it up there are sex scenes which don't help. Its like a poor man's Woody Allen film with no jokes. Starring Josh Lucas, Jacqueline Bissett, Lukas Haas,Vanessa Kai,Adam Brody & Stu Richel 3/10
