Mad Max(1979) The leather clad policeman of the the title battles violent motorcycle gangs in a lawless future Australia. Mel Gibson excels in the title role, sympathetic and likeable despite the violence, a brooding often strong, silent type who gets more intense as the film reaches the end. In my opinion, better than Tom Hardy's take on it. Director George Miller makes good use of the Australian country and the music is skilfully used. Miller must also take credit for breaking the action/violent scenes with quiet ones, this works well. A pretty good, witty at times script too. Also starring Joanne Samuel,Hugh Keays-Byrne(an excellent villain), Steve Bisley, Tim Burns,Sheila Florance & Roger Ward 7.5/10

Interesting to find out that there is a connection between those last two films.

We are left with a great legacy of films, that came about, because of the re-releasing of Man Made Monster under the name The Atomic Monster.

Return of the Ewok (1982)

Return of the Ewok is a 1982 mockumentary short, written, produced and directed by David Tomblin, starring Warwick Davis as himself in a fictionalized account of how he got the role of Wicket W. Warrick in Return of the Jedi.

The Vampire(1957)

John Beal stars as Dr.Paul Beecher,a small town doctor who becomes dependant on the pills from another doctor's research with vampire bats.Paul Landres's film could be a cautionary tale about the horrors of drug addiction but its more of an average B monster movie.

From Dusk Till Dawn (1995)

My kind of favorite film. Classic Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino combo that delivers all the usual one liners, memorable characters and excellent soundtrack. Always worth stopping up after dark to watch... Wink 5/5

White House Down, to sum it up the film it's terrible and silly, this film was directed by Roland Emmerich for me has only directed two good films ID4 and Stargate. Stick to olympus has fallen a far better and superior film. 5/10.

Silverado(1985)

A spirited and star studded western with Kevin Kline,Scott Glenn,Danny Glover and Kevin Costner.Four men unwittingly become allies when their path's cross after they return to the town of Silverado where their families and friends live.Only to find it now being ran by a corrupt sheriff with a murderous band of guns for hire.Written, produced and directed by Lawrence kasdan, the film is enjoyable and exciting but not as deep or engaging as Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider, released in the same year.
