the conjuring 8/10 just like the woman in black, good horror film without being gory. the scare moments were good.

Annabelle 7/10 not as scary as the conjuring. the doll on its own is scarier than chuckie.

Mi5 Rogue Nation - liked it, some stand out set pieces and enough going on to keep the viewer interested. 8/10

Fantastic 4 (2015 version). Oh dear...... Impressive visual fx aside, this really is poo I'm afraid. I've been slightly fixated on Kate Mara since the white t-shirt moment in Shooter and subsequent House of Cards naughtiness, but even she couldn't save this! 3/10

Tomorrowland - utterly slated by critics and to be fair it is really overly schmaltzy in places, but the visual fx are pretty amazing and it's an OK way to lose 90mins of your life. 6/10

Going to see The Martian this weekend. Have high hopes that it might be the first Ridley Scott flick in about a decade that is any good....!!

p.s.
I thought I was the only one who liked Event Horizon laugh

Die Another Day, a decent Bond film but far from one of the best of the series, the opening sequence was very good but three things ruin the film, 1 turning Bond into a super hero just to keep up with the big budget Hollywood movies, 2 dodgy special effects in certain parts of film and lastly the jinx character it was pretty clear they wanted to do a spin off movie which never happened as MGM at the time changed there minds, I will say the film looks stunning on blu ray 7/10.

The Martian
Big Grin
FINALLY a Ridley Scott film that's good!
Sumptuous visuals, big soundtrack and great performances throughout and some cool humour too. A little bit of a twee Hollywood ending, but that aside, I really enjoyed it.
Nice little nod to Alien in the early scenes too.

8.5/10

Halloween (original 1978) 7/10 It felt more a stalker psychological film than a horror film.

Halloween 2 7/10 the violence was cranked up, on par with the first film.

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch 4/10 has nothing to do with the Halloween film series, even the director and writer said that the film should have been a stand alone film.

Halloween Return of Michael Myers, Revenge of Michael Myers and Cures of Michael Myers 5/10 they dipped into the realm of the supernatural with them like the later Friday 13th films and Freddy Krugger films.

Halloween H20 and Halloween Resurrection 6/10 much better films since the first 2.

Halloween (remake) 8/10 I liked this one due to the fact you got see how Michael myers become the killer.

Halloween II 6/10 kind of dipped into the supernatural with the white horse thing.

I feel that films like Friday 13th and Halloween are better served if they based in reality,
