Fast and the Furious 6

Avoid at all costs if you like critically acclaimed serious, actionless plots, perhaps filmed in French with sub titles....if however, you like fast paced action, humour and a film that never takes itself too seriously then you should enjoy it. This is an over the top stunt ridden film in a series that seems to get better each time. Disengage the brain and enjoy. 9/10 for the fun, the girls and the cars.

PS Carry on watching the end credits to get a scene that sets up for next years F&F7

Warning: If you are a cocky, full of shit 17 year old boy do not go around driving like they do in this film. You will end up as raspberry jam against a brick wall!

Silver Lining Playbook

For me a thoroughly entertaining watch, helped in no small part by the sight of Jennifer Lawrence in all her fitting dance gear "Mmmm"
De Niro & Bradley Coooper (The Hangover) also star in this enjoyable comedy drama.

8/10

Also a very good soundtrackBig Grin

Whiteout (2009)

I refuse to give up - I believe that Kate Beckinsale is capable of a good film. So I'll put this waste of space nonsense, branded the 8th worst film of 2009, behind me. I only read the reviews after watching the film - and they confirmed what I was thinking while watching it. A thriller that doesn't thrill, a mystery that you just can't be arsed to work out, finishing with one of the worst ending reveals I've ever seen. Crap. By the way, my one point is for the shots of Kate nude in the shower. Wink 1/5

The Hurt Locker (2008)

Finally put the dvd in and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jeremy Renner gives an outstanding performance as the danger-addicted bomb squad leader, but in many ways its the portrayals of the rest of the crew around him that generates the drama. His recklessness puts them in jeopardy and the nerve shredding tension creates a very good film. No wonder it won best picture. 4/5

Rush.

I was gripped by this which really surprised me.
Very fine leading portrayals of Lauda and Hunt.
