2012 Bit of a stereotyped Roland Emmerich film but worth a watch every so often for the sfx. A film that can be watched much more easily now that 2012 has come and gone 7/10

Kill Bill: Vol 1 - 9/10

GI Joe Retaliation 8/10. Not quite as good as the first movie but follows on from the end of that film quite nicely. Switch off, enjoy the big explosions and ignore the testosterone fuelled script. The mountain scene, while impossible is amazing and as for London....

Just to cheer myself up: Naked Gun - 9/10.
Totally daft but it put a smile on my face .

Casino Royale, probably one of my fav modern Bond films don't what it is but there's something about this film that i slightly prefer a little over Skyfall. 9.8/10.

The Wolverine, Really good addition to the x-men franchise. it's set after x-men: the last stand and sees wolverine mourning the death of jean grey and goes to japan to see someone he saved from the the nuclear bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki

hugh jackman is again excellent as wolverine and good performances from Rila Fukushima as Yukio and Svetlana Khodchenkova as the very evil viper.

the special effects are good as are the action sequences, especially the fight on a bullet train and another fight sequence at a funeral

don't go when the credits start as there is an extra scene which sets up the next x-men film, x-men days of futures past which comes out 22 may 2014
