Star Trek: Into Darkness

Very enjoyable. Follows on from the first rebooted film nicely with clever references to the original Star Trek films and the usual impressive sci fi effects and character mannerisms and catchphrases associated with the franchise. There's a particularly astonishing echo of an original film... albeit slightly altered. Can't wait for further slices of this rebooted series. 3/5

I have been in a grumpy mood all weekend so I watched Naked Gun 33 and 1/3 this afternoon to cheer myself up.
Did the trick Wink. Nothing like a bit of daftness Big Grin.

Prometheus

Looked & sounded great, but I'm not sure how I actually feel about this filmHuh
I did however like the end (seriously,it explained a lot) I think a second viewing is a must in order for me to give a proper rating, but on first viewing.
I'll give it a 7/10

Star Trek: Into Darkness. 9/10 Thoroughly enjoyable. This cast have the original line up down to a tee, so much so that they are making the roles their own...almost Big Grin
I grew up on the original series and can see that JJ Abrams has paid true homage. It can only bode well for the Star wars movies.

I genuinely think that Benedict Cumberbatch should receive a nomination for best supporting actor from the academy for next year's Oscars. You could see he put so much into the role - making it his own while still showing respect to the appearance by the character in the original series.

Anyway last film I watched was The Ninth Gate (1999). Low key, crappy supernatural film that is enjoyable in places but ends up being a little too hammy. Frank Langella steals the show as the baddie again while Johnny Depp is a little too wooden. Emmanuelle Seigner's boobs are always worth a look though! Smile 2/5

Iron Man 3 8/10
Enjoyed it. Only thing I didn't like was their use of the Mandarin character, how can they change nearly 50 years of history and turn him into a drunk, drug addled method actor? Pretty much fucked up Iron man's arch enemy for any future films bladewave

Fast And Furious 5, always been a big fan of series and of all the ones i've seen aside from the sixth film this for me was the best one. It was great seeing all the characters from the previous film turn up, great action and set pieces through out the whole film and last epic car chase at the end was just simply breath taking. The film also had a great thumping sound track and seeing Vin Diesel Vs Dwayne Johnson was awesome. The last scene setting up the next film was a really nice touch, never thought i would ever say this but the Fast and Furious just keep getting better and Better can't wait to see number 6 hope its just as good. 9/10.

Sinister 7/10 one the best horror films i,ve seen in a long time, creepy with a few good scares thrown in.

Looper 7/10 an interesting take on the time travel genre.
