This really is a great mind bending top sci-fi movie that really excels. It sways this way and that, and keeps you gripped from start to finish. Joseph Gordon Levitt and Bruce Willis are excellent. I'm sure it will be destined to be a sci- fi classic. Hugely enjoyable. 9/10.

Brotherhood

This is an absolute must if your into war films.
An apt description of this movie is,it is a Korean Saving Private Ryan.
To say it is an epic and yet heart wrenching film with amazing battle scenes would not do it justice.
Even though this is a Korean movie (uk subtitles) as long as you have a modicum of literacy and are into this genre of film,it is a must see must own movie.(I'm certainly glad I own it,Two disk Special Collectors Edition)
Visually stunning,this film is 'Exceptional' it gives a whole new meaning to families at war.

Snow White and the Huntsman. Although it's quite an enjoyable adult/late teen sort of retelling of the childhood fairy story, it's one of those movies that baffles me. They clearly had a decent budget and a good cast. The concept is excellent but the delivery leaves you feeling they missed a trick. Nothing new for Hollywood of course! The 7 dwarves appear about half way in but are so understated they might as well not have been there.
Chris Hemsworth continues to advance his claim to becoming a major league player. He reminds me of a young Harrison Ford and will do well if he follows in his footsteps. Overall it's a worthwhile watch 6/10.

Thats My Boy.
Adam Sandler stars in this film, its stupid and a bit weird but i guarantee it will make you laugh not much of a review but its well worth a watch. 9/10

The Sweeney
and it was kak (as the sweeney), Ray Winstone in his underpants, no you slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.
OK as an action film but the Sweeney it was not.. 5/10

I was really looking forward to this sequel, but i have to say i found it to be lacking the oomph of the original and is a little hit and miss. Liam Neeson is still good as the revengeful father, and their are some good action sequences, but its a bit of a letdown overall. 6/10

Venus (2006)

Can't believe Peter O' Toole didn't win the oscar for his performance in this film. I thought it was really enjoyable, along with a fine feature film debut from then newcomer Jodie Whittaker. O' Toole's oscar nomination earned him the record of more nominations without winning than any other actor. 4/5
