the hunger games, better than i thought however i seen a few of these sort of films like battle royale, the condemned (steve austin and vinnie jones), the game roller ball (remake and original), future sport then there is equilibrium. lenny kravitz has the designer was great. the only other film i have seen jennifer lawrence in was xmen first class where she played mystique and she was good as a young mystique. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is out november 2013.

The Sweeney

Nice update on the classic series, Ray Winstone and Ben Drew interact well with each other, as Reagan and Carter, and give good solid performances, great action and nice car chases, make this good british crime thriller a good way to pass on a couple of hours, 8/10.

Watchmen 9/10 A film that gets better with each viewing. I can never tell for sure if this film is a parody of the superhero genre. It's certainly one that shows the fear and weaknesses that lies in us all. Great movie.

Super 8

With Cloverfield, Star Trek and this J.J Abrams is establishing himself as the modern day Speilberg, and with the man himself as a producer it felt like one of his classics had been revamped and revamped well. It does exactly what a good sci-fi should do thrills us, entertains us and above all makes us use our imagination, and with the use of children ranging from 12-14 as the leads and well played i might add, we get a certain charm to the film.

If i could find a girl that had the looks of Gal Gadot, breasts of Sophie Mudd with Demi Rose's ass, the personality of Jessica Ennis, the grace of Kendall Jenner on the red carpet and then behind closed doors the raw sexual energy of Nicole Snow i'd know i was dead and gone to heaven, so i'll just take Demi Rose's ass and Nicole's sexual energy

Heat 9/10 This is in my list of desert island dvd's. The shoot out at the bank is still as awesome now as it was on release.

When The Lights Went Out.

This is a great creepy little haunted house movie, based on a true event from the 70s.
Steven Waddington and Kate Ashfield are terrific as the mystified parents, and Tasha Conner also shines as their daughter who is at the nerve centre of all the activity.
Filled with all all the usual cliches which horror films are famous for, this is certainly worth a watch. 8/10.

Killing Them Softly:

This is a great mob retribution movie from Andrew Dominik, with great all round performances from Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, and Ray Liotta. With good bursts of violence and sparky dialogue, this is a really good enjoyable movie. 9/10
