If i was a player voting though for purely football reasons, i'd vote for suarez but i can see why some other players would not vote for him.

Like you say i think the age should be lowred like you said or something like that would be a good idea.

Don't you think that benteke should realistically deserve the young player award?

benteke good shout yep, not even a nomination for nastasic or rafael. lukaku as well maybe.

have your own opinion, lead dont follow.

I agree that if you are nominated for the main award then you shouldn't be nominated again for the Young player award. Seems stupid that a player can win both...

Probably, he has pretty much single handedly kept us from going down so far. If we didn't have him we'd probably already be down. Think we'll struggle to keep him in the summer.

Not quite sure I understand that argument. Surely you can be classed as the best young player in any given year and the best player overall in any given year. Therefore you should be entitled to win both awards. His colleagues all felt so and voted accordingly.

yeah bit of a strange statement that he made! i think like i said before maybe they should change it to under 21 but not sure why some people dont think you should win both! if your young enough your good enough!!

Yes agree, i watched this, best game i have seen for a long time, it had everything in it, I hope that benfica now go on to win the Europa even being a Supporter of Porto, the football they have played has been good, also i really hope that Gokhan Gonul for fenerbache is ok after a very bad injury, he was knocked out and landed on his neck very hard.

Has anyone here tried that BBC Predictor thing?

After predicting all the games left in the season, I have Arsenal edging out Spurs on goal difference for 4th place and Newcastle just surviving ahead of Wigan by a point.

It's doubly sad that Jamie Carragher is playing his last Merseyside derby this weekend.

Sad that it's the 35-year-old will have just two matches left in a distinguished career with Liverpool FC.

But it's even sadder that he is to become a Sky television pundit next season.

He's been a great player but I don't think that I can take much of his high pitched Scouse accent.

My Final Table...

Man Utd 89 pts
Man City 83 pts
Spurs 74 pts
Arsenal 73 pts

Chelsea 68 pts

Liverpool 63 pts
Everton 63 pts
West Brom 52 pts
West Ham 48 pts
Fulham 44 pts
Swansea 43 pts
Southampton 43 pts
Sunderland 41 pts
Wigan 41 pts
Villa 41 pts
Stoke 40 pts
Newcastle 40 pts

Norwich 39 pts
QPR 25 pts
Reading 25 pts

Got you safe by a point mate... Norwich to go down. Rolleyes

Carra's a football encyclopedia. He'll shake things up a bit, top pundit he'll be.
